15 Years’ Experience Driving Evidence-Led Impact
I’m a social policy and public health researcher specialising in behaviour change, technology and participatory approaches.
My work explores how to unlock opportunities and achieve outcomes across interconnected health and care systems – from widening access to technology, to addressing the health impacts of poor housing, digital exclusion, social isolation and homelessness.
I specialise in working with underserved communities, such as carers, people on low income, those with complex needs, neurodivergent and from varied cultural backgrounds.
I design mixed-methods studies and develop practical tools that help organisations reflect, adapt and demonstrate impact, with a focus on how systems can work better together.
Before going freelance, I obtained an MRes in Advanced Social Research Methods (University of York, 2010) and a PhD in Social Policy (University of Sheffield, 2015) and held research posts at the University of Leeds and Sheffield.
I also bring over a decade of experience as a housing, homelessness and welfare benefits specialist, working across several local authorities and for the Legal Services Commission.
Originally from Bristol, I now live in South Yorkshire, and my work takes me across the UK.
