Research and Evaluation

I am an experienced mixed-method researcher, generating insight into health access, housing, prevention, digital inclusion and community connection for NHS, academic, local authority and VCSE partners.

I specialise in working with people underrepresented in research, including: carers, those experiencing homelessness, lower-income communities, and with communication, cognitive or mental health needs.

Right from the start Sarah worked closely with us to. Her significant experience really helped us to deliver a high quality evaluation… Her flexibility and enthusiasm for the work was like having an additional team member alongside and made for a highly positive approach to the work

Strategic Support and Service Reviews

I regularly review housing and homelessness services for local authorities across the UK, helping them respond more effectively to complex needs and reduce health inequalities.

I work with NHS and VCSE partnerships to design more inclusive technology access for patients and communities. I help inform commissioning decisions, funding bids and long-term plans that connect clinical care with the wider factors shaping people’s health.

Sarah’s research on ‘technology enabled care’ is proving hugely important to the work of the TEC Action Alliance…[it has] been very insightful and managed to capture the main functions and benefits of TEC in a plain and structured language that people used to describe their needs. Importantly, the research reached people from multiple communities and diverse backgrounds

Learning and Facilitation

I facilitate practical, inclusive learning spaces – supporting organisations and communities to explore challenges and develop new ways of working.

Topics include technology adoption, health, behaviour change, peer research, co-production.

I really enjoyed [the workshop], Sarah helped me feel at ease and I actually contributed something to the discussion, I am usually a bit shy. I also took away lots of food for thought and it gave me confidence – I realised that I don’t need lots of qualifications to make a difference
